一、意思不同：
1、kind of意思是有点儿。
2、kinds of意思是各式各样的。
二、用法不同：
1、kind of单独用，表示“有点”，后接形容词或副词。
2、若kind of前有a,this,that,what等，译为“种，种类”后加名词。
kind of意思是“相当；有一些”，例如，He is kind of thin.他有点瘦。kinds of意思是“很多种”，例如，all kinds of reasons，各种原因。
kind，表示同类的人（或事物）；种类。指一事物与其他事物相区别的属性；也可指事物本身所具有的特殊性，即“本质，性质”，此时多为不可数名词。其复数为kinds，比较级为kinder，最高级为kindest。常指有某种共同点、可以归为一类的人或事物，可与 sort/type 换用。
